General Program Information
GCVCA programming varies from meeting to meeting and includes speakers of regional or national renown, panels on topics of interest to the regional entrepreneurial community, and “pitch meetings” where local start-ups and earlystage entrepreneurs present their business plans and potential investment opportunities to GCVCA members and guests. The GCVCA also hosts an annual Expo, showcasing start-ups from around the State of Florida and beyond, and Meet the Angels, a gathering of investors and investment organizations from throughout the state. Both the Expo and Meet the Angels attract over 500 people annually.
GCVCA meetings are typically held the last Wednesday of each month, except there is no meeting in November and we meet the first Wednesday of December, both of which are done to accommodate the holidays.
The organization seeks to connect entrepreneurs, investors and service providers. As a result, while meeting formats vary, nearly all meetings feature an opening networking reception for presenters, speakers, members and guests to meet and converse beforehand. Many meetings also include a similar follow-up reception after formal programming concludes.
While GCVCA meetings are typically held at the Embassy Suites in Boca Raton, conveniently located in the heart of the Gold Coast, we host events in Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties as well. Please check the calendar for upcoming meeting times, locations, and formats.
The GCVCA frequently partners with other area organizations to design and co-host its programs. Please contact us if your organization be interested in co-hosting an event.

The GCVCA also hosts “pitch” events where area entrepreneurs present their business plans to GCVCA members and guests. Pitch events are often produced in conjunction with area angel investment groups to enhance capital raising opportunities for presenting companies. Entrepreneurs interested in presenting can apply to present at a GCVCA pitch meeting. These companies must have a well thought through business plan, proof of concept, a well defined and composed management team, and significant capital already invested by founders, friends and family. Applicants are screened and three companies are typically selected to present at a pitch meeting. Parties interested in pitching at a GCVCA event should click on the link below for more information.
